The Second Wave

Most schools have gone back to normal. The ones in year 12 had all finished their journey in their schools. Everything moved on like usual, but really, had the coronavirus pandemic ended yet? Nope, not at all. Not only has it not ended, but it has even gotten worse. When our school had the first lockdown, there were only a few hundred cases but now hundreds of cases are emerging everyday. At the same time, when I walk around the streets now I see people wearing masks and buying masks. However, a large number of people have not taken up the habit of wearing masks and being extra careful in public areas. Of course, every shop has covid-safe rules, but places outside the shops are dangerous as well. This virus has now been going around for nearly a year! Countries and citizens need to implement additional measures in order to stop this situation from escalating further. Above all, we need everyone to keep good hygiene and be careful in public areas. If you feel any of the symptoms, go home and self-quarantine. If your symptoms get worse, go to the hospital to get tested. Please do not trivialize the severity of these symptoms, thinking that they are nothing to worry about. Because if even a few of us are not careful, this virus will not stop spreading any time soon.
